Eduin Gleaves

Edwin Gleaves fue mi profesor de Metodología de la Investigación en la Escuela Interamericana de Bibliotecología de la Universidad de Antioquia. Un verdadero enamorado de la profesión. Un místico inigualable y un gran docente. Su amor por la carrera lo llevó a convencer a muchos latinoamericanos para que se especializarán e hicieran su maestría en la Universidad de Nashville, Tenn. En donde él era el Decano del George Peabody College for Teachers (entre estos contamos a Uriel Lozano Rivera, Hernando Henao Jaramillo y Rodrigo Vega)
Nació el 28 de febrero de 1936 en Nashville (Tenn.) en el hogar formado por Edwin Sheffield Gleaves y Hazel Hunter de cuya unión hubo dos hijos: Edwin Sheffield Gleaves, Jr., y Robert Milnor Gleaves.

Edwin se casó con Georgia Louise Montandon el 30 de diciembre de 1958 en Nashville, Davidson County, de cuya unión nacieron Susan Kay Gleaves y David Hunter Gleaves.
El 20 de mayo de 1978 se casó en segundas nupcias con Janey Ann Thompson.
